Rememberance Sunday – Marking the Centenary of the End of the First World War

The Choir of Christ Church will present Gabriel Fauré’s, Requiem, in the context of the Service of Holy Communion on Sunday, November 11, 2018, at 11:00am. The significance of marking the 100th Anniversary of the End of the First World War with the moving music of one of the 20th Century’s most-beloved choral works in a liturgical context is an opportunity not to be missed. The Choir will be led by guest conductor, Gregory Ristow, assistant professor of conducting and director of vocal ensembles at the Oberlin Conservatory, with David Kazimir, organist of Christ Church; Abigail Hakel-Garcia, soprano; Alex Smith, baritone; and Phoebe Durand McDonnell, harp.
